Barb Hillman knows the effect natural light can have on a once dark house.
The Vernon resident recently had the Solar Centre install eight solar tubes in a home she previously described as “glum.”
“They are absolutely fantastic, which is why we ended up with eight,” she said. “We started by putting in one, saw the light coming through, and knew we wanted more.”
Hillman had solar tubes installed in the kitchen as well as the dining room and front hall, where existing light fixtures were replaced with a solar tube and light kit.
Solar tubes were also installed in two bathrooms including one with no natural light.
“One bathroom had no window and you always had to turn a light on when you walked in and now you don’t. It’s amazing.”
